Friday Night Feature: Cultivating a Meditation Practice

The ancient practice of meditation has recently become more of a mainstream health modality. Some of the scientifically proven benefits of meditation include healthier heart function, improved sleep, decreased inflammation, and a slowdown of the aging process. So why don't we do it? Join Omkar Nath as he provides tools to aid in cultivating a short daily meditation practice. Expect discussion on how to overcome the many obstacles that prevent us from committing to this incredibly beneficial discipline followed by some gentle movement, a short supine meditative practice of yoga nidra, and finally a traditional seated meditation.

No prior experience with yoga postures or meditation is necessary to benefit from this evening. Please bring a shawl or something similar for covering your head if possible.
